Vibration Analysis of Gear Box

Vibration Analysis on Gear Box gives information about, Gear Mesh Misalignment, Cracked or Worn or faulty or broken or improper Gear Tooth, Gear eccentricity, Gear Looseness, Pitch Line Run-Out, Mass Unbalance, Machining Errors, Planetary Gear Problems etc.

Gear Mesh Misalignment: Gear Mesh-Misalignment may results in shifts in the load distribution of a gear pair that results in increasing contacts and bending stresses, moving the peak bending stresses to the edge of the face width and might also increase gear noise. It is caused because of lead slop error, lead wobble, Bore Parallelism & Skew, Shaft Bending Deflections, Shaft Torsional deflections, Bering & Housing Deflections, Gear Blank Deflections, Spline and Bearing Clearances, temperature gradients, centrifugal forces etc.

Broken/ damaged Gear Tooth:
The gear tooth gets damaged due to bending stress, due to roll-off stress (Wear/ scuffing/ Flank fatigue), due to external impacts, due to production faults, due to overloads etc.
